"Finally Famous" Album Cover.

Finally Famous is the title given to Detroit rapper Big Sean's (born Sean Anderson on March 25th, 1988) debut album scheduled to drop Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 under Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music imprint.  The emcee signed with Kanye's label in 2007 and later signed on to Def Jam Recordings in 2008.

Lead Single: "My Last" Official Video - Big Sean ft. Chris Brown.

Big Sean gained mainstream success with the release of "Finally Famous: The Mixtape" in 2007 which spawned the hit "get'cha some" and led to articles in The Source Magazine and Detroit Metro Times.  He went on to release a second mixtape, "UKNOWBIGSEAN" in 2009, and a third, "Finally Famous Vol. 3" in 2010.

Big Sean has proved that he can hold his weight lyrically and can hang with the best emcees in the game.  He's showed no signs of slowing down and if his mixtapes are any indication of what his debut record will sound like then his highly anticipated project will definitely be worth the wait.

The album contains sixteen (16) tracks and features some of the most prominent artists in the music industry.  These include the likes of  Chris Brown, Lupe Fiasco, kanye West, Roscoe Dash, John Legend, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T, and Rick Ross.   The first single was "My Last" and features Chris Brown.  The second single off the album is "I Do It" which has gained great recognition among hiphop fans.

Missy Elliot's Struggle with Grave's Disease.

Rapper Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot (born Melissa Arnette Elliot).

Missy Elliot has always been one of the most dominant artists in hiphop ever since she debuted in 1997 with "Supa Dupa Fly" which peaked at number one on the U.S. Top R&B/Hip-hop Albums and number three on the U.S. Billboard 200.  She has stood out and maintained longevity in the game due to her unique rap-style and her effortless delivery that blends perfectly over Timbaland's beats (Timbo was her main producer).

Over the years, however, Missy has been absent from the rap scene, and with good reason.  The emcee was diagnosed with Grave's Disease in 2008.  Grave's is an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid gland, which results in over-production of thyroid hormones.  Missy told People Magazine "I was (driving and) trying to put my foot on the brake, but my leg was jumping. I couldn't keep the brake down and almost crashed... I couldn't write because my nervous system was so bad - I couldn't even use a pen." She reported however that she is doing a lot better due to exercising and that she hasn't had to take thyroid medication in close to nine-months.  The exercising has also led to a loss of 30 pounds (lbs).  Sadly, the disease is incurable.

R&B singer Ciara (Left) with Missy Elliot.

Missy Elliot is set to re-appear in the public's eye as she will be featured in the first episode of the returning  VH1's "Behind The Music" TV series (airing June 29th, 2011 at 10 pm EST).  During the show, Missy will open up about her struggle with the disease, being molested as a child, and rumors.  Missy's episode will also see appearances/interviews by her close friends Ciara, Timbaland, and Mary J. Blige.

Transformer 3: Dark Of The Moon (June 29, 2011).

Transformer 3: Dark Of The Moon [Release Date: June 29, 2011].

"Dark Of The Night" is reported to be the last installment in the Transformers film series.  It is scheduled to hit US theatres June 29th, 2011.  The movie will run approximately 153 minutes and carries a $195 production budget.  It is directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg.

Michael Bay (Director Transformers 3)

One interesting fact is the absence of actress Megan Fox who played Samuel James Witwicky's love interest in "Transformers" and "Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen."  Sam Witwicky is played by Shia Labeouf.  Sources stated that in order to take Shia's character in a new direction, it was better if Sam wasn't tied down to a love interest.

Megan Fox (Mikaela Banes - Transformers 1 & 2).

It was stated, however, by Fox's reps, that it was the actress' decision to leave the movie.  News of her departure surfaced following disputes with TF3 cast members as well as the director.  According to Yahoo News, Megan, in an interview with Britain's Wonderland Magazine, compared her director to "Hitler" and "Napoleon."  "He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation.  He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.  So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward."

Members of the TF3 cast condemned Fox by posting an open letter on the director's site reprobating her behavior during filming and calling her "the grump of the set," as well as"thankless, classless, graceless, and unfriendly."  The letter was however taken down soon after by Bay as he did not condone its contents.

Editor's Comment:  It is sad that one of my favorite characters will not be in the final installment of the Transformers franchise.  I'm sure it will still be a good one judging by the  first two movies.  Wonder what Shia Labeouf thinks about the situation.  Personally i'd be too salty!! But that's just me though lol.

Lady Gaga: Facial Implants and Blood/Semen-inspired Perfume.

No stranger to controversy, Gaga has struck again.  Since she surfaced on the Pop music scene, Lady Gaga has managed to capture the hearts of millions of fans world-wide.  She achieved international recognition with her chart-topping singles "just dance" and "poker face," both off her debut album, "The Fame," released in 2008.

Lady Gaga on Jay Leno on Feb. 14, 2011.

Gaga is most famous for her off-the-wall taste in fashion; ranging from her human-hair outfit to her animal-flesh dress.  she has always been know for pushing the envelope but nothing tops her new facial implants.  The implants depict horn-like projections on her cheeks as well as her forehead.  Gaga insists she was born this way and that these are bones that everyone has.  She also stated in an interview with Harper's Bazaar that they've always been apart of her and she's been waiting for the right time to reveal them to the world.  She claimed "everyone has these bones.  They're the light from inside of us."  Gaga stated the bones protrude whenever she is inspired.

Lady Gaga has also teamed up with Coty Inc. to produce her first fragrance.  The perfume will be called "Monster" and will be released sometime in 2012.  The odd thing, disturbingly enough, is the source for her "inspiration."  She stated that she wants her perfume to smell like blood and semen.  Speculation has it that the  perfume will contain actual samples of Lady Gaga's blood, which is disturbing to say the least.  It will be interesting to see how the general public will respond to the product.

Sidney Starr [Born Sidney T. Favors].

Tran-sexual hiphop "diva" (born a man) Sidney Starr came out the woodwork and pulled a "Kat Stacks," dropping names and exposing which entertainers she got "up-close and personal" with.  This is quite disturbing to say the least. She's really...he's real dirty for this one.

Some of the entertainers who ALLEGEDLY had "relations" with Sidney Starr include the following;
  • Lil' Wayne and Chingy (2 year relationship), and has "links to" [#WhateverThatMeans] Bow Wow, Omarion, Soulja Boy (#BigSurpriseThere), Ludacris, and Twista to name a few.
The issue that raises eyebrows is the claim that Sidney Starr allegedly told certain rappers her true gender, and they were okay with the situation..#WOWZERS!!

Starr stated she would rather keep most names a secrete and is  not interested in a book deal because that's not the type of image he is trying to put out.

Interview (14 minutes):  Sidney Starr Confirms 2-Year Relationship with St. Louis Rapper Chingy.

New Breakthrough: Marijuana Soda??

California native Clay Butler is the topic of conversation for the development of a marijuana-based soft drink.  The soda contains THC, the euphoric chemical found in marijuana.  The drinks are available only with a prescription from a doctor and are said to be an alternative source of "medical marijuana."

The drink of course is intended to be used as "medicine only" and suppliers are concerned about the potential for abuse, especially if the product tastes "too good."  Thus far, the sodas come in 5 flavors.

Controversy surrounds this product in the sense that it raises concerns as to how safely marijuana can be blended with liquids. Butler has had a difficult time finding a US manufacturer willing to make bottle caps for his drinks so he's decided to turn to China for help.

Aaliyah Biopic and New CD Scheduled for 2011.

Left: Aaliyah Dana Haughton;  Right: Keisha Chante.

Throwback joint:  "Fallen" - Keisha Chante ft. Ex-Boyfriend Drake.

A biopic detailing the short-lived life of R&B sensation Aaliyah is reported to have began filming around March of 2010.  No official release date has been set but the movie is scheduled to drop sometime in 2011 and is said to carry an $80 million production price tag.  Aaliyah's life met a tragic end on August 25th, 2001 following a plane crash while on her way back from shooting a music video in Jamaica.  She was 22 when she passed.

Canadian singer Keisha Chante (pictured Right) will be starring in the much anticipated biopic.  It has been reported that the movie's production will be carried out by Warner Brothers Films and will be directed by Bill Condon, producer of "Dreamgirls" and "The Twilight Saga."

Rumor has it that the movie will hold nothing back as it will also document the singer's controversial marriage to R. Kelly (Kelly was 27 while Aaliyah was 15 at the time).  Nothing much has been divulged in relation to hermupcoming CD.

REFLECTION: Personally I'm a huge  fan of her work and can't wait for the movie and the CD to drop.  Let's see if Keisha can deliver, clearly they look alike so I see why she was chosen for the part. #PatientlyWaiting.
