Transformer 3: Dark Of The Moon (June 29, 2011).

Transformer 3: Dark Of The Moon [Release Date: June 29, 2011].

"Dark Of The Night" is reported to be the last installment in the Transformers film series.  It is scheduled to hit US theatres June 29th, 2011.  The movie will run approximately 153 minutes and carries a $195 production budget.  It is directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg.

One interesting fact is the absence of actress Megan Fox who played Samuel James Witwicky's love interest in "Transformers" and "Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen."  Sam Witwicky is played by Shia Labeouf.  Sources stated that in order to take Shia's character in a new direction, it was better if Sam wasn't tied down to a love interest.

Megan Fox (Mikaela Banes - Transformers 1 & 2).

It was stated, however, by Fox's reps, that it was the actress' decision to leave the movie.  News of her departure surfaced following disputes with TF3 cast members as well as the director.  According to Yahoo News, Megan, in an interview with Britain's Wonderland Magazine, compared her director to "Hitler" and "Napoleon."  "He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation.  He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.  So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward."

Members of the TF3 cast condemned Fox by posting an open letter on the director's site reprobating her behavior during filming and calling her "the grump of the set," as well as"thankless, classless, graceless, and unfriendly."  The letter was however taken down soon after by Bay as he did not condone its contents.

Editor's Comment:  It is sad that one of my favorite characters will not be in the final installment of the Transformers franchise.  I'm sure it will still be a good one judging by the  first two movies.  Wonder what Shia Labeouf thinks about the situation.  Personally i'd be too salty!! But that's just me though lol.
